Who?

I am a digital strategist who just wants to do life-touching work with smart, creative people. I have some of my work on this site. Wondering anything? Just want to say hello? Feel free to reach out using the sidebar.

What am I good at?

The ink is still drying on my diploma, but I am already capable of a lot. Here are a few of the things I do well:
  • Crafting insight-driven advertising strategy.
  • Guiding media projects and campaigns, leading teams and facing clients (I excel at creating and delivering presentations).
  • Producing and delivering creative content across many media (try my portfolio below and take a glance at the Skills & Interests section of my resume)!

What have I done?

Campaigns

These are examples of full campaigns I have worked on, along with descriptions of my roles and contributions for each.
Glidden Paint
Strategy & Copywriting

This proposal for Glidden's Brilliance paints leveraged the line's exclusive spot on Walmart shelves with a 360° campaign to inspire purchases without the need for endless deliberation, pre-empting industry campaigns.

My role: I contributed as a member of strategy, copywriting, and initial research teams.

This entry for the 2012 National Student Advertising Competition, crafted alongside the AAF team at the University of Illinois @ Urbana-Champaign, recieved Second Place and the Wildcard Selection for the Midwest region. Download the book here.
Oblong Greenhouse SDK
Strategy & Design

Oblong is a company built out of the groundbreaking gestural interface technology designed by John Underkoffer during his education at MIT (you might have seen his work in Minority Report).

Oblong's new software development kit, Greenhouse brings amazing multi-device, gestural computing to developers in a powerful way. But in order to realize its full potential, Greenhouse needed to tap into a vibrant community of creative coders. I worked on all aspects of this campaign and personally designed the entirety of this book to communicate what my team learned.

Harley Davidson
Strategy & Media

Tasked with bringing Harley to a younger, African American market, I had to rethink the uses and gratifications that motivate people to buy a hog. After conducting primary research, our team realized, among other things, that our audience's uses matched well with celebrity endorsements in specific media. I attempted to justify our media mix with in-depth support and competitive analyses.

Bump Prosthetics
Research & Creation

Bump is a non-profit design studio that has created an affordable arm prosthesis for amputees in developing countries. I was approached to help them engage clinics and potential partners. I was able to teach members of my team the essentials of messaging strategy and create infographics to highlight the importance and impact of Bump's contribution.

Blue Wilderness Dog Food

Some brand soul-searching and an enjoyable creative process led to this Blue Wilderness ad. I helped design and copywrite this ad.

Nestle Butterfinger
Creation

I created these videos to promote Butterfinger's video comedy contest site during my internship.
Creative Cares
Strategy & Design

Creative Cares is a nonprofit devoted to uniting creative professionals with worthy causes in need of their skills. As the VP of the Journalism, Advertising, and Media Students' organization, I was suggested steps for a rebrand of Creative Cares including a new logo and a zero-cost engagement campaign on Facebook.

With the intent of inspiring more causes to contact CC with their needs, this campaign suggested ways in which different groups might find a good match in a creative professional.

Production / Design

These are other small, personal projects I have done. I enjoy creating and learning about different ways of making things, so my hands are usually set to one "garage project" or another.
